IBA partners with Australian Beverages Council on Sustainability Training

The IBA has partnered with the Australian Beverages Council (ABCL) to provide members with industry- specific sustainability training.
The ABCL is the peak body representing the non-alcoholic beverage industry. Over the past couple of years, practical training was developed for beverage manufacturers to improve the sustainability of their operations. And, in doing so, reduce operating costs – the ESR30 Educational Program.
In 2027, the ABCL will make its training courses available to IBA members. The ABCL is now seeking expressions of interest to determine which courses have the highest demand.
Training covers key sustainability topics including carbon and emissions, energy and water efficiency, waste management, sustainable packaging and procurement. They are also developing new courses in areas such as governance, social sustainability and Scope 3 emissions.
The courses are designed to be practical and accessible to employees across a range of roles and levels of sustainability experience. We anticipate courses to start from February 2027 onwards.
There are currently four courses that make up the full program. The cost of each course will be $265 +GST.
We encourage members who may be considering any of the courses to complete an expression of interest form (below).
This excellent program further supports the work the Australian Alliance for Energy Production and Brick Lane Brewing presented. Renewable Heat Options for Brewers Webinar.
The ABCL and IBA have worked together for small beverage producers on several issues. Including in relation to container deposit schemes. We thank the ABCL for their hard work in developing these programs and their willingness to make them available to our industry.
