In October last year, the Board announced the appointment of Sabrina Kunz as the interim CEO of the IBA for a 12-month period.  It is with great pleasure that this week, we can announce that the Board has unanimously agreed to appoint her to the role on an ongoing basis.

“Over the past eight months the Board has had the opportunity to work closely with Sabrina and see first-hand the impact of her leadership. Alongside a small but incredibly capable team, she has built on the strong foundations of the IBA by delivering the Regional Cluster Lead program, launching the True Indie Supporter membership, securing funding for the Tasmanian Beer Trail, and continuing to expand the value we provide members through events, advocacy and technical resources, including a new partnership with the US Brewers Association.”

Explains Board Chair Evin Craney.

Just as importantly, this progress has been achieved while maintaining a strong financial position and setting the organisation up for long-term success. Providing certainty and stability for our members is critical, which is why the Board is pleased to confirm Sabrina’s ongoing appointment as Chief Executive Officer. We’re excited to continue working alongside Sabrina, the IBA team and our incredible network of volunteers as we keep building momentum, strengthening our industry and ensuring independent breweries across Australia have a strong and united voice.”

The IBA is excited to continue delivering for IBA members and to build on the ongoing work in supporting Australia’s indie brewers under the leadership and direction of Sabrina Kunz.
