Aussies overwhelmingly voted for indie beer in the GABS Hottest 100

When voting opened for the GABS Hottest 100, the IBA encouraged consumers to Vote Indie.
And they responded! Overwhelmingly choosing independent beer – with 75 of the top 100 beers coming from our Australian owned independent breweries.
Over the weekend GABS released the Top 100 Indie Beers list.
“We are so thrilled for our members who have clearly won the hearts and minds of consumers by continually offering quality beer,” says Emily Doughty, IBA Membership Manager.
In research undertaken by KMPG 74% of consumers claim that they value independence and understanding the origin story of their beer. The results of the 2024 GABS Hottest 100 show that, given the choice, consumers will choose indie.
