Independent Brewers continue the push for reform

Independent breweries across the country are meeting with their MPs, welcoming them in to their venues and advocating for excise reform. And at the IBA we are so proud and grateful for your work.

Over the past couple of months we’ve seen MPs from NSW, QLD and WA agree on the need for reform of the excise regime and start the conversation in parliament.

Earlier this week, Cameron Caldwell MP spoke to the House of Representatives about the precarious state of Australian small and family businesses – including brewing.

The IBA are keeping our foot on the gas when it comes to advocacy, and we know our members are doing the same – change takes time, but collective action works. We’re entering the next Federal Election season and all of our voices have never been more important.
