IBA appears at Food and Beverage Manufacturing Inquiry

8 August 2024

Yesterday, 7 August 2024, Independent Brewers Associate Chair, Callum Reeves and CEO, Kylie Lethbridge appeared before the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Resources Inquiry into Food and Beverage Manufacturing.

The IBA had the opportunity to explain how our sector had led the innovation in the beer industry and that, as a premium and niche product we have the opportunity to be on the forefront if we could just get the Government to support us.

Kylie and Callum had the opportunity to present all of our information and were asked a lot of informed questions and its safe to say they walked away feeling like we had been heard.

We are very grateful to our suppliers Bintani and Boortmalt who submitted to the Inquiry. Its going to take all of us to turn the titanic, in this case, the federal government, in our favour.

We will share a more detailed update in the next Everything Indie magazine when we have the Handsard transcript available to share with you all.
