Are you passionate about supporting the independent brewing industry and want to contribute as a volunteer on the IBA Board?

These appointments are part of the implementation plan for our new Constitution which was adopted at the AGM back in April.

With the expansion of the Board from 7 to 9, we now have two skills-based Director roles to fill and are seeking expressions of interest from people who have the following skills and expertise:

  • Legal – the Board’s responsibility involves overseeing compliance with numerous laws and there are current and future priority projects that would benefit from these skills.
  • Agriculture & supply chain – broad understanding or experience in the key agricultural inputs and supply chain challenges that affect the production of beer.
  • Information Technology – direct experience in information technology and how it can be leveraged by businesses, how it impacts consumer behaviour and society.
  • Environmental sustainability – broad understanding or experience in key areas of environmental sustainability as they impact the production of beer.
  • Research/insights – direct experience in the acquisition and use of data to create actionable insights.

Are you interested but unsure whether you qualify?  Take a look at the Role Description.

The Expression of Interest form includes all of the details we need from you and provides you more information about the IBA and the expectations of the role.

We are hoping to reach a broad range of prospective candidates however higher weighting will be given to those who not only meet the criteria, but who are committed to driving long term change and support for the independent brewing industry. Remember – this is a volunteer role!

Expressions of Interest close on 29 July 2024.
